TILT: An Independent Thriller From Brainerd, MN

Check out TILT an independent thriller that I was glad to come on board as a backer. Set in the town of Brainerd, Minnesota, the story is about “revenge & forgiveness, betrayal & redemption, and second chances…small town style.” Filmmakers/screenwriters Julie Keck and Jessica King (also known as King is a Fink) has put together a video to explain what the film is about using the ever so popular Kickstarter where you can also contribute to help get this project up and running. So many of my filmmaker friends use Kickstarter and I can’t recommend it enough. I am all about helping locals and this is my latest discovery that I’m sharing with you :)

Life in Perpetual Beta

Life in Perpetual Beta is a documentary film about the ways in which technology has/is/will change the ways in which we think about ourselves as individuals and a society. It is exploring the cultural shift that technology creates as it enables people to live less planned and more passionate lives.

Check it out if just to only get to know Melissa Pierce, the producer of this interview documentary. Get to know her because there are great things yet to come from this innovating filmmaker.

Here’s an interview with the cool Irina Slutsky :)

Drift: In Production

I was fortunate to find out about this new film project from Jim Vendiola of Kinosaur Films called Drift. The lovely ladies over at King is Fink love his work and looking at the teaser I may be on the bandwagon with them. It looks very intriguing and I’m looking forward to seeing more. Help out with donations and let’s get this local filmmaker up and running.

Remember to support your locals and show some Chicago love :)

Funny: Lady Parts

Lady Parts is a Chicago based sketch comedy troupe that I’ve recently stumbled upon. Though there doesn’t seem to be much about the show on the website itself , you can find out about the troupe and who they are. I would say sign up as a fan on Facebook and you’ll get a lot more information. So far they’ve gotten me to laugh so I thought I’d share it with you :)

Here’s their latest video Happy Valentine’s Day
