School starts in September and I am really excited about it. I will be taking Production II, which involves filming short films in color and using voice over and narration. I am stoked but at the same time nervous because lately I have been playing around with digital and now I have to go back to the mentality of precise planning so I will not waste film. But we do get to edit using Adobe or Final Cut Pro. Plus this will help me with the projects that I have planned for online. Well, this got me to thinking about what direction did I want to go with this website. Most people know me as TheFemGeek and very few “online” call me by my given name Tiffiany Tate. But I began to realize that I probably need to plan to use my given name in the credits for the films that I do. So, I have decided to start a new website strictly for my short films. The internet tv shows I want to do will have their own page but when it comes to the projects I am personally working on, there will have to be a separate website. Now you may say, “Okay, this is really a no brainer”(this is ME imitating YOU asking this question)? Well, the reason why I am pointing this out is because now I have to gather a new group of viewers. Now, I know I know, I may not have such a big following here on TheFemGeek.com. But I value my 18 readers, small as that may be.

The new website will have my name as the domain name but spelled differently. When you actually look at my name you may notice that there is an extra “i” that makes absolutely no sense if my name is to be pronounced like the famous jewelry store. I have decided that I am most likely going to change the spelling. The new spelling will be “Tifani” instead of “Tiffiany”. What? (this is ME imitating YOU asking this while wondering why did my mother spell it that way) I can only assume that the drugs they gave here during childbirth were that good. So, my loyal fans and any new readers and viewers who may come on board, look for the new website, Tifanitate.com, soon on a computer screen near you.
Oh another thing, myself and a friend, Sawyer Lahr, will be producing/directing/writing, and whatever else that needs to be done, a documentary based on life her in Chicago and/or Illinois. It is in the beginning stages but we will be posting the progress on the new website. This idea was inspired by Michael Ambs and his blog/vlog, Project Pedal.
