Camera as Witness

Get your submissions ready for the 10th United Nations Association Film Festival which will take place October 24th -28th, 2007 at Stanford University. I wonder if just walking the halls of the University if my IQ will jump a few points. Alright I’ve waking up. The festival highlights documentary films and videos that emphasize on humanitarian issues, environmental survival, education, homelessness, an array of issues that should be the forefront when it comes to the world being informed. I know of many filmmakers who intentions are to make a substantial difference to the world when it comes to their art, in this case filmmaking. So guys here’s a way to introduce yourself to the world.

The theme of this years festival is “Camera as Witness” and the deadline for submissions is June 1, 2007. There is a submission fee that is very reasonable for films under 30 minutes and for those over 30 minutes . UNAFF suggest using the Withoutabox submission forms to encourage filmmakers to have a central location to directly access film festivals, buyers, and audiences throughout the world. If you do prefer you also have the option to download the entry form in Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word form. I will admit that just this year I became aware of this festival and my goal now is to try and find the winners and /or past entries. Doing this I hope that it will help me become more enlightened as to what’s happening to those around the world. Possibly helping me to learn how I can help to make this world a much pleasant place to live.
