The two entertainment meccas in the United States, New York and Los Angeles, are hosting the The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival (NYIIFVF). It is said to be the largest film festival in the world and attracts filmmakers from all over the globe from the novice to the pros. Considered to be “the voice for independent film” (I’m still looking for the person who coined this phrase), the NYIIFVF attracts an array of media attention, making it a event that not only brings attention to the film itself but to everyone who took part in the production. So all you screenwriters, producers. directors, musicians, set designers, make-up artist, get together and collaborate and make that next outstanding independent film. The Los Angeles March festival is in progress now with today being the last day for its March 1st - 8th, 2007 run. But you can submit your projects for the New York festival that is being held in July and the second festival being held in Los Angeles in September. Hey, I think I know where I might be taking my vacation this fall.
